Gas prices increase on N.J. toll roads

Bargain no more. Service stations along the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway raised their gasoline prices by 22 cents a gallon.

Motorists had lined up this week to fill their tanks at $3.17 a gallon for regular. That's because the state's toll road contract only allows stations to raise prices once a week. Friday is when prices change.

The latest increase puts prices in line with other gas stations around the Garden State. However, the tolls roads will be a bargain if there are more price spikes through the coming week.
