Thousands of dollars found and returned

SCHWENKSVILLE, Pa. - April 28, 2008 Two armored car guards should be very grateful that Tom Nesspor is an honest man.

"I was just driving home like a normal day when I saw something on the road, so I started slowing down and as I got closer I noticed it was a big bag of money."

Tom Nesspor pulled over to the side of the road and picked it up. Little did he know that the wads of cash inside that bag he found along the side of Route 422 totaled to almost $14,000.

Tom says, "It was heavy. It was about 25 pounds, but about 25 pounds of 1-dollar bills."

All of that money may have been hard to lift, but it would have been easy to keep. But with three young kids at home, Nesspor wanted to set an example. So he did the right thing, and called police. As it turns out police had received another call about bags of money found along 422.

Brinks employees told police there were faulty locks on the truck and the doors swung open while they were traveling from Phoenixville to Royersford, and the money simply fell out.

Police are thankful Nesspor did the right thing.

The Brinks employees were interviewed by police, but authorities do not think anything criminal happened.
