Voters in this town of 900 households re-elected two incumbent council members. Wilmer "Win" Abbott, 47, and Bob Berghorn, 80, won new two-year terms.

Four others challenged Abbott and Berghorn for the at-large seats, but none was a serious threat. Some 140 residents cast votes at Clayton Town Hall on Main Street.

Berghorn took 65 votes, followed by Abbott with 64. The nearest challenger was Eric Young with 45 votes.
