Philadelphia police tell Action News the shooting happened in the 3300 block of Mercer Street in Port Richmond at about 5 a.m.
The suspect was apparently trying to break into the back of the home. The homeowner opened fire and the wounded suspect apparently biked to Northeaster Hospital for treatment, according to police.
Officers at the hospital were holding the bicycle as evidence.
There's no word on the suspect's condition.
Police continue their investigation.
