He's accused of killing 22-year-old Duceliz Diaz-Santiago and her five-year-old daughter, Kayla Diaz-Santiago, inside their apartment in Bernville on January 15, 2007.
Police originally thought the deaths were a case of murder-suicide, but police finally brought charges against Perez after a lengthy investigation based on forensic evidence, specifically fibers found on the child's body that allegedly match fiber in the suspect's vehicle.
Perez was arrested without incident Thursday morning at his job. He is being charged with two counts of homicide, abuse of corpse, and theft.
