The defendant, Jack Jordan, is accused of following and trying to contact Thurman from early 2005 until late last year. Jordan is charged with stalking and aggravated harassment. He faces up to a year in jail if convicted.

NEW YORK (AP) -May 1, 2008 Court officers escorted the actress through a side entrance of
the state Supreme Court building Thursday morning. Thurman, wearing
dark glasses and a long wool camel jacket over dark pants, kept her
head down and ignored a horde of reporters and photographers.
