Police: Unlicensed driver causes deadly crash

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - May 5, 2008

Eighty-three-year-old Dorothy Marciniszyn of Wilmington was killed in the collision at the the intersection of Champlain Avenue and Route 4 in the Five Points area Sunday afternoon.

Police say Marciniszyn was a passenger in a Saturn sedan that was struck by a Honda that ran a red light. Another passenger, 79-year-old Doris Starr of Wilmington, was critically injured and was in serious condition Sunday night at Christiana Hospital. The driver, 76-year-old Doris Grant of Wilmington, was also injured and was admitted to Christiana in serious condition.

The driver of the Honda has been identified as 21-year-old Eduardo Rodriguez of Wilmington. Police say he doesn't have a license. No charges have yet been filed.
