State and local police were called to the house in Douglass Township shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday after the bodies of 36-year-old Edward Moore Jr. and 45-year-old Lori Ann Hauser were found by a family member.
Berks County Deputy Coroner Jonn Hollenbach says investigators have determined that Moore shot Hauser once in the head with a handgun and then turned the gun on himself.
Investigators say the couple had been dead for 24 to 48 hours before the bodies were discovered.
Hollenbach says each died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
