Study: Video game industry helps NYC economy
NEW YORK (AP) - May 12, 2008 An analysis of New York City's video game sector was released
Monday by the New York-based Center for an Urban Future.
If the city continues to develop its gaming industry, it says,
it could generate hundreds, even thousands, of new jobs and help
diversity the city's economy.
The report says New York City already has many of the
ingredients necessary to further expand the gaming sector,
including a thriving film, media and publishing industry.
