BENSALEM, Pa. - May 14, 2008 That suspect is identified as 26-year-old Omar Sharif Cash of Philadelphia's
Kensington neighborhood. Authorities in New York City are awaiting positive
identification from fingerprints to be sure that the man in their custody is Cash.
He is the man who allegedly carjacked a couple in Philadelphia, shot and killed the man in Bensalem, and drove to a motel in Lawrenceville, New Jersey where police say he raped the woman repeatedly.
Police say 32-year-old Mexican immigrant Edgar Rosas-Gutierrez and his girlfriend were kidnapped around 3:30 Sunday morning, as they left Jalapeno Joes on Castor Avenue.
Lawmen described Cash as 6-2, 200 pounds, black hair and brown eyes.
