What is a "heat pump" high pressure system?

"Heat pump" is by no means an official term for any high pressure system, but sometimes an on-air forecaster will refer to a high pressure system as a heat pump if it is providing our area with a strong southerly flow.

Erica's Answer:

In the summer, this "heat pump" manifests itself in the form of a Bermuda high. Bermuda highs provide us with a very warm and humid flow from the south-southeast.
