Del. man convicted in teen's murder

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - May 16, 2008 The jurors found Aaron Archy guilty of first-degree murder in the November 2005 slaying of Luis Perez in Wilmington's Riverside neighborhood. Archy was also found guilty of two weapons charges.

It was Archy's second trial in the case. The first ended last year in a hung jury.

Archy will receive a mandatory life sentence.

He is also awaiting trial in the February 2005 shooting deaths of Holland Brown and Marquita Smith. Police say the victims were killed while sitting in a parked car in the 300 block of W. 26th St.

Because Archy was 17 at the time of that shooting he will not be eligible for the death penalty.
