Lancaster County couple killed after graduation

MAIDENCREEK, Pa. - May 18, 2008

A Lancaster County couple is dead and their daughter is hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash on the way home from the daughter's college graduation.

Five other people, including a

truck driver and four children in a minivan, were also hurt.

Authorities say Jay Good and his wife, D. Jean Good, were returning home to Lititz when the accident occurred about 4 p.m. Sunday on Route 222 in Maidencreeek Township. The parents, both 58, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Goods' 21-year-old daughter, Jacy, had just graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown. She was taken to Reading Hospital and underwent surgery late Sunday. Her condition is listed as critical.

Information on the conditions of the others injured was not available from the hospital.
