CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) - May 22, 2008

But not everyone is jewelry thief.

Police in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, report foiling a jewelry store rip-off because the allegedly crook didn't turn on his car lights.

According to police, an officer tried to pull John Flagg over, but he sped away and eventually bailed from the car.

Officers say they later found Flagg with more than 40 watches, while close to 120 others were in the car.

Police put the value of the stolen loot at more than $150,000.

Flagg is now charged with first-degree theft, third-degree burglary and a load of traffic violations.
