Witnesses say a mother duck and her chicks were trying to cross Bustleton Avenue and Fulmer street this morning, when the ducklings fell into the drain.
Donna Riddle, who was driving by, got out of her car to help.
Action News was there as an SPCA officer, armed with a net, fished the chicks out of the storm grate one by one.
They were taken to the SPCA shelter to be checked out.
