High expectations at Jersey shore

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - May 22, 2008 It's been a partly cloudy and breezy day here at the shore but visitors and merchants alike are looking for a much improved weekend.

It wasn't a good beach day but we found a few brave souls getting a jump on Memorial Day weekend unbothered by the clouds and blowing sand.

For most people though watching the water from a deck was just fine.

In Ocean City merchants are looking for good weather to bring the crowds. Brent Hanley of The Shirt Shack wants to sell plenty of beach items by day and sweat shirts by night. And what will this year's hot items?

Fudge makers expect to sell thousands of pounds this weekend but it will cost a bit more.

But it seems it's something visitors just cant live without. One day to the unofficial start of summer and hopefully more summer-like weather.
