TRAFFIC: Broad St. closes for 8 days

CENTER CITY - May 22, 2008 Construction crews will be knocking down a building on Cherry Street to make way for the expansion of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Starting at 5 a.m. Friday, Broad Street will close in the northbound direction, between JFK Boulevard and Race Street.

Southbound Broad Street will close between Race and Arch streets.

Septa will operate on detoured routes.

Broad will reopen the afternoon of Saturday, May 31st.
