More overnight shootings in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - May 26, 2008

In South Philadelpha, a 16-year-old boy was in a car when he was shot in the head and shoulder in a hail of gunfire.

The car then slammed into a parked SUV at the intersection of 56th and Walnut.

The teen was taken to Children's Hospital in critical condition.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Philadelphia Police are also investigating a string of shootings and murders in South Philadelphia.

A 25-year-old man was shot seven times on Jackson Street Sunday night. He survived.

Police are looking for a group of teenagers who may have fled the scene on bicycles.

Several people were killed in separate incidents in South Philadelphia over the weekend.
