Two people have been rescued from a 14-foot boat that capsized a few miles off New Jersey's Cape May.

A U.S. Coast Guard official says the boat, a clammer, was about five-and-a-half miles west of Cape May Canal when it got into trouble.

A good samaritan boat responded and pulled the people out of the water, then transferred them to a Coast Guard ship.

The Coast Guard says the two people were taken to a hospital. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
