It happened a little before 9 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 71 on the city's north side. One side of the highway was closed as cows wandered along the highway and in a nearby neighborhood.
The interstate reopened hours later following a roundup that involved an Ohio State University veterinary team with tranquilizer darts and a cattleman who tried to rope cows with a lasso.
Police say the truck's driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The cattle were headed from Texas to Pennsylvania. A second truck was brought in to complete their journey.
