NY's Tavern on the Green Settles Discrimination Suit
NEW YORK (AP) - June 2, 2008
The settlement was announced Monday by the U.S. Equal Employment
Opportunity Commission.
The suit said the harassment included groping, graphic comments
and demands for various sex acts. It also said black and Hispanic
employees were subjected to slurs and ridicule of their accents.
An attorney for the restaurant did not immediately return a call
for comment. The restaurant previously has stated that it complies
with all anti-discrimination and sexual harassment laws.
