A district judge in Big Beaver has mailed a summons to 44-year-old Paul Michael Brant, of Fort Wayne, requiring him to schedule a court date on the charges.
Police say Brant told them he was accosted by the gunman on Route 18 in Big Beaver about 3:30 a.m. May 1.
The trucker says the man ordered him to drive before forcing him out of the truck and chasing him into the woods. Brant's truck was recovered after state police directed Brant out of the woods by cell phone hours later.
A woman who answered a phone number listed for Brant says the number no longer belongs to him.
