The company says it was a freak accident. State police investigated the incident and found no wrongdoing and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which investigates all workplace injuries, is probing the incident.
Soybean death ruled accidental
DELMAR, Del. (AP) - June 6, 2008
Forty-six-year-old Herbert Mitchell of Millsboro was buried
under an avalanche of soybeans as he tried to fix equipment at the
bottom of a silo at the Allens Hatchery on Wednesday. Two other
workers escaped.
