Ga. double slaying suspect turns self in to Pa. police
LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - June 11, 2008 Phu Thien Tran is in Lancaster County Prison on a
fugitive-from-justice charge, with bail set at $1 million.
Manor Township Police Sgt. Jim Alexander says Tran showed up at
the station just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
A computer check of the 22-year-old Tennessee resident turned up
a warrant for the shooting of two teenagers in Catoosa County, Ga.
Tran is accused in the fatal shooting on Saturday of two teenage
boys, one 13 and the other 17 years old. Georgia officials said
more than 30 shots were fired at a house after a scuffle over a
debt.
Alexander says Tran had stopped in Lancaster while traveling
through the area with his brother.
