Former A.C. school board president sentenced to prison

MAYS LANDING, NJ - June 12, 2008 Cornell Davis, age 34, was convicted of bribery earlier this year, part of an ongoing corruption probe.

Authorities said Davis used the influence of his office in the awarding of a vocational training contract in 2005.

The father of two wiped away tears several times during today's sentencing hearing in Mays Landing.

Davis must serve at least a year behind bars before becoming eligible for parole.
