Police found the hit and run vehicle a few hours after the accident, not far from the scene. Now, investigators are trying to figure out who was driving it.
The 1994 Firebird has extensive damage... blood, tissue and hair are embedded in the windshield. Bensalem Police say this is the vehicle that plowed into the two pedestrians.
Detective Christopher McMullin of Bensalem Police said, "Both pedestrians were taken to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital where one passed away shortly afterwards. The other is in critical but stable condition."
Eyewitnesses tell police the vehicle fled east on Street Road. A patrol officer found the car a few blocks away in a parking lot... the driver was gone.
Investigators say the car is registered to Arnulfo Gonzalez of Philadelphia.
"All the addresses we have turned up invalid. At this point we cannot locate the owner and let alone determine if he was operating the car or another party," says McMullin.
So police are now asking for the public's help. They want you to take a close look at the Pontiac Firebird. It has distinctive flames along the side and 'Fear This' stickers on the front.
Anyone with information should call Bensalem Police.
The names of the victims' are not being released pending notification of their families.
