2 die in Delaware ambulance crash

ANGOLA, Del. (AP) - June 17, 2008

State Police say the Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad Ambulance was the only vehicle involved. The crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The paramedic, a 31-year-old woman, and the patient, an 82-year-old woman, both died in the crash. Another medic and the driver of the ambulance were hurt in the crash.

The patient was being transported from a nursing home to the Beebe Medical Center. The paramedic and an EMT were performing CPR on the patient while enroute to the hospital.
