Plane lands on I-95 in Florida

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (AP) - June 17, 2008

Volusia County sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught says the landing happened Tuesday afternoon in the Ormond Beach area. No one was injured.

It's not yet clear how many people were aboard the plane, or why it needed to make the emergency landing.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the roadway has remained open and the plane has been moved to the median.

Police say Federal Aviation Administration authorities will inspect the plane to see if it can fly back off the interstate.
