Police seek busy burglar

NEWARK, Del. - June 19, 2008 At least five houses in three Newark, Delaware neighborhoods were targeted -- in a single afternoon. And police believe that they're dealing with one-man's burglary spree.

Police released surveillance pictures taken Wednesday at the Harmony Plaza Shopping Center in Newark, Del. After police say the burglar was witnessed breaking into homes in broad daylight, even setting off security alarms.

He was later spotted at the shopping center not far from the scene of the latest crime.

Harmony Woods, Tanglewood and Brookbend are all suburban developments that were hit in just three hours time. Investigators say the suspect has stolen jewelry, cell phones, and collectibles.

He's described as a white male in his 20's with white short-cropped hair, and tattoos on the back of his neck and forearm.

Anyone with any information is asked to call New Castle Co. Police.
