Zoo giraffe "Twigga" dies

For the second time this month, the Philadelphia Zoo has lost one of its oldest residents. Twigga the giraffe has died.

Zoo officials say they decided to euthanize Twigga due to pain she was suffering from age-related arthritis.

At 29 years old, Twigga was among the oldest giraffes in the United States.

Twigga's death comes just 11 days after the death of Petal the elephant.

At 52, Petal was the oldest elephant in the United States.
