Attorney Michael Schwartz wouldn't say whether he expects Mendte's career to resume at KYW-TV, the station that fired him.
Schwartz also says Mendte is continuing to cooperate with federal investigators looking into whether former co-anchor /*Alycia Lane*/'s e-mail account was broken into. That investigation became public weeks ago when FBI agents searched Mendte's home and seized his computer.
Lane was fired in January after a series of embarrassing off-camera incidents. In a lawsuit filed Thursday, Lane said KYW management contributed to getting her private life into the news in an attempt to boost ratings. She also said keeping Mendte on the payroll when he was under investigation amounted to sex discrimination.
