NJ officer killed in Iraq

A New Jersey State Police Officer serving in Iraq has been killed. News of Detective Sergeant Dwayne Kelley's death came out late this afternoon.

He was killed after bombing in Sadr City on Tuesday.

Kelley served three tours of duty, and worked on the State Police Counter Terrorism Unit.

He went to high school in Willingboro, but currently lived in South Orange.

Also, today, the Department of Defense announced the death of Captain Gregory T. Dalessio of Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Dalessio, 30, died June 23 in Baghdad due to wounds suffered when his patrol encountered small arms fire during combat operations, according to the DOD.
