Large fuel spill on Turnpike

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an overturned tanker truck accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Montgomery County. The accident happened just before 6:30 p.m. as the truck was exiting the Eastbound Turnpike at the Fort Washington Interchange.

The Fort Washington (#339) off ramp was closed due to the accident.

The truck overturned at the exit ramp.

The truck esd carrying 7,000 gallons of gasoline, at least 200 gallons have leaked.

There are no reports of injuries.
