Penguins Re-sign Pascal Dupuis toThree-year Deal

PITTSBURGH (AP) - July 1, 2008 The 29-year-old Dupuis came to the Penguins in a trading deadline deal from Atlanta, along with star winger Marian Hossa.

Hossa has so far rebuffed the Penguins and is expected to fetch more on the free agent market than the $7 million a year the Penguins have reportedly offered him over five years.

Dupuis is a speedy, aggressive forechecker who played some alongside Hossa and star center Sidney Crosby when he wasn't assigned to a checking line. He had 2 goals and 10 assists in 18 regular season games and 2 goals and 5 assists in 20 playoff games for the Penguins who lost in the Stanley Cup finals to Detroit.
