Search for Steve Fossett resumes in Nevada
BRIDGEPORT, Calif. - July 14, 2008 The multimillionaire adventurer disappeared last September while
flying a small plane. Weeks of searching found nothing, and he was
declared legally dead in February.
A team of elite athletes and expert mountaineers will spend five
or six days poking through rugged mountains on the
California-Nevada line where it's believed Fossett crashed.
All of the searchers are covering their own expenses.
The leader of the team says whether they get lucky or not, at
least they'll be able to eliminate areas for any future searchers.
In late August, a different team of up to 15 climbers, mountain
guides, and others plans to do some searching of its own.
