Pitman Parade marches on

PITMAN, N.J.- July 4, 2008

"It's a small town and it's fun," Cynthia Ventura said. As for Ree Shoemaker of Magnolia, "It's all about the atmosphere, the people, all the fun, the kids and what it all stands for."

Some kids weren't quite sure why they were wearing red white and blue, other than because adults were wearing it too. still, they waved old glory.

And, while the weather may have dampened the spirits of some locals many opted not to stay home saying this is a Pitman tradition not to be missed.

It was like a day in paradise, especially for the kids. Some were even treated like royalty. In this a day when young and old gathered together in one small town for a big celebration, just to say, "Happy Birthday America."
