DJ saves naked girl in northern Jersey

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - July 7, 2008

Harvey King said he was driving home from a job he was to have played at Liberty State Park Sunday morning when he spotted the toddler about to cross a busy intersection. He stopped, grabbed her and drove her to a police station.

King says several people just stood and watched as the child wandered around the neighborhood shortly before 11 a.m.

She was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center where she was examined and found to be in good health. She's now in the custody of the state Division of Youth and Family Services.
