Edwards Joins Push for NJ Minimum Wage Increase

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - July 11, 2008 He'll be in Newark later today with members of the Raise the Wage Campaign calling for a hike in the current rate of $7.15 per hour.

The group wants to see it raised to $8.25.

New Jersey currently has the nation's 13th highest minimum wage.

Democrat Edwards ran in the early presidential primaries this year and was John Kerry's running mate in the 2004 presidential election.
