The arrest came Sunday just before midnight along the 900 block of Gordon Street.
Police say they were trying to apprehend Dennis Carl, Jr., 25, from an apartment, but he climbed from a 3rd floor window and started running along rooftops.
Carl tried to jump a gap in the roofline. He fell and injured his leg but, according to police, continued to resist arrest and had to be pepper sprayed. Carl was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital and after treatment went to the Lehigh County Prison.
Police say Carl had walked away from a work release program. He now faces resisting arrest, endangering another person and other charges.
