July 8, 2008 A recent study by the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research followed more than 15-hundred dieters. It found people who wrote down what they ate lost double the weight compared to those who didn't keep a journal. And they kept the weight off.
Experts say food diaries force people to be aware of how much they eat. They can also see their pitfalls so they can be avoided next time.
