NJ suspect caught in YMCA shooting

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - July 8, 2008 Police took 37-year-old Kenneth Duckett into custody earlier today after a tipster lead them to the home of one of his friends.

Duckett is being held on $1 million bail and is facing murder and weapons charges for allegedly shooting Monica Paul as she stood with her daughter.

Authorities say Paul was watching her son's swimming lesson from an observation deck when she was shot by Duckett. She had an order of protection against him.

The Montclair YMCA where the shooting occurred held brief reopening ceremony yesterday. It had been closed since the shooting on June 26.
