Photos could help catch student's shooter

PHILADELPHIA - July 16, 2008 Adrian Schultz is now able to resume drum rehearsals with one hand, however, the 19-year-old college student and basketball player is still recovering from multiple gunshot wounds sustained May 13 on the edge of Temple University's campus.

Schultz was talking a to a long time friend Schanice Henderson, a university security guard, when suddenly a gunman appeared and opened fire. The police identify the attacker as 20-year-old Marshall Thomas, the estranged long time lover of Henderson. Police say he was in a jealous rage.

"From witnesses that could hear Ms. Schultz begging for her life, Ms. Henderson tried to put her body in between Thomas and Ms. Schultz," Philadelphia Police Detective Ralph Domenic said.

Grainy pictures taken by a school security camera show Thomas escaping after the shooting that left Schultz near death. Thomas remains on the lam.

Detectives are looking high and low for marshal Thomas, but for two months now, he's managed to give them the slip. Police consider him armed and extremely dangerous.

Police say Thomas has a history of aggravated assault arrests, police and Adrian Schultz say marshal Thomas must be brought to justice.
