Police say Delaware authorities contacted them to help with the recovery, and by the time officers got there, the body had floated south, across the border and into Maryland.
Body found in canal in Ocean City, Md.

The body is that of a middle-aged man. It's unclear how he died.
The body has been taken to the state Medical Examiner's office in
Baltimore for an autopsy. His identity is being withheld until
relatives are notified.
