Police called the Coast Guard for assistance at 7:21 p.m. and a rescue helicopter was dispatched from the Coast Guard station in Atlantic City. Also joining the search were police and fire personnel and a rescue boat from the Coast Guard's Philadelphia station.
Man missing after swim in Delaware River

Officials say 21-year-old Sandro Valentine was swimming with a
friend about 30 yards from the bridge Sunday when he was caught in
a strong current and disappeared under the water.
