Plane lands in Winslow Twp. yard

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. - July 13, 2008 Authorities said the crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. in the area of New Freedom Road in Winslow Township, not far from Camden County Airport in nearby Berlin. However, it was not immediately known if that was where the plane had taken off from or was headed to at the time of the crash.

The identities of the two people aboard the plane were not immediately released, and authorities had not determined what caused the crash as of late Sunday night.

However, WCAU-TV in Philadelphia reported that the pilot told them he apparently ran out of fuel. The plane was later taken away in a flatbed truck for further examination, and local, state and federal authorities remained at the scene late Sunday night.
