Reptiles found in NJ apartment

Officials inspecting an apartment in Parsippany found a 3-foot alligator and a 13-foot snake.

The gator was cowering in a bathtub in a unit at Troy Hills Village.

The snake, either a python or boa, was inside a plastic container that had holes for ventilation.

Both reptiles were taken to an animal shelter while officials try to determine whether the tenant had permits to keep them.

The apartment complex doesn't allow pets.
