Evacuations over at Rowan University

GLASSBORO, N.J. - July 16, 2008

Officials tell Action News that construction workers along Route 322 in New Jersey hit a natural gas line, prompting evacuations at Rowan University.

The accident happened shortly after 1 p.m. It's estimated that about 200 students and faculty members had to be moved from 4 buildings to another location on campus.

No injuries were reported.

Emergency workers think the broken gas main will be repaired sometime within the next hour.
