Navy Commander Fired
SAN DIEGO, Cal. - August 12, 2008
The Navy said Tuesday that Cmdr. Shawn Bentley was relieved of
duty Monday for loss of confidence in his ability to command, only
three months after assuming the position.
A Navy spokesman says an Inspector General investigation has
been completed and the results of that investigation were under
review to determine what, if any, further action should be taken.
No other details about what led to the decision to relieve
Bentley were released.
