Man accused of hijacking San Fran network
SAN FRANCISCO - July 16, 2008 A San Francisco employee who's also a computer whiz made his first court appearance this morning on charges that he hijacked the city's new
computer network, and locked officials out of confidential files.
Terry Childs is accused of being a disgruntled employee who refuses to give
up the password, so now officials can't get into the different areas he
locked.
Fixing it could cost the city millions of dollars.
