No charges against NJ troopers accused of rape
TRENTON, N.J. - July 17, 2008 Lawyers representing seven troopers who have been suspended with
pay since December say their clients are "elated" to be cleared
and are looking forward to resuming their careers.
A spokeswoman for the Middlesex County Prosecutor says the case
has been closed, but wouldn't comment further.
In December, a woman told authorities that she had been raped by
a group of troopers she met at a Trenton night club. She claimed
the incident occurred at the Ewing Township home of one of the
troopers.
No formal charges were ever filed.
